Quick Steps to Convert ANSI PST to Unicode PST and Vice-versa

Step 1

• Open PST Upgrade Tool by clicking on Start menu » All Programs » PST Upgrade » Check for Prerequisites

Step 2

• Click on Ok button to reach first screen of software as shown in below image.

Step 3

• Click on Add Files or Folders from the toolbar and select Outlook data file (.pst).

Step 4

• Now click on Open button

Step 5

• As you select Outlook PST file, the software will automatically recognize its format whether it is ANSI or Unicode.

Step 6

• Click on Browse button to choose destination path for restoring output PST file.

Step 7

Preview PST file

• Choose Location where you need to restore converted PST file from Browse for Folder box.

Step 8

• Now click on Start button to begin the process of ANSI & Unicode PST file conversion.

Step 9

• Upgrade PST software will switch selected PST file to ANSI or UNICODE PST file format according to selection. A notification window will pop up on your screen click on Ok.

Step 10

• After Outlook PST file conversion the software will display the PST file name with its location. Click on Close button to exit.

Step 11

• After completing process a dialog box appears, Click on yes button to close application.

Step 12

• View Converted Outlook PST file
• Open Outlook, Go to the File menu » Open & Export » Open Outlook PST File, then following screen appears

Step 13

• View Converted PST file in Outlook.
• View converted Outlook items like emails, calendars and contacts etc in Outlook.
